The Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - and that these three are one God, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption.
The Bible is the divinely inspired and unique revelation of God, completely reliable and sufficient for all we need to know in order to live for God.
The eternal Son of God who became man and fully shared in all that it means to be human, through the virgin birth. As one who was fully man and fully God, Jesus lived a perfect life, taught with amazing authority and performed many signs and wonders demonstrating who he was. Ultimately he was rejected and died a cruel and shameful death upon the Cross at an early age. In his death he offered himself as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. On the third day, God raised Jesus back to life and after 40 days he ascended into heaven where he now reigns. At the end of history he will return physically and visibly as a fulfilment of the promises of Scripture (the Bible). Christ will then judge both the living and the dead from every nation, and make new the heavens and earth, where all who have believed in him will live with him forever.
We believe in the dignity of all men and women, as those who have been created in the image of God. God loves every human being and made us to have a personal relationship with him. Through the fall sin entered the world, destroying our relationship with God, corrupting human nature and bringing all men and women under God’s righteous anger.
Through the sacrificial death of Christ upon the cross, God has paved a way whereby our relationship with him is restored. Through his death Jesus paid the full price of our sin, and therefore whoever puts their faith in him is made right with God.
God now calls everyone to personally turn from their rebellion against him and to believe in Christ, to receive the forgiveness of sins and to follow to him as the Lord of their lives. When we do so we are born again, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit who enables us to live life in all its fullness. Each believer is called to be baptised in water in obedience to Christ and as a testimony to the work he has accomplished in their lives.
The Holy Spirit is the author of life and is at work in the hearts of all who are seeking the Lord, enabling them to believe in him. Through his ministry a new believer is made into a new person and is empowered to live a life that honours God, producing the fruit of the Spirit. God longs for every believer to be filled with the Spirit and to be equipped with the spiritual gifts which he bestows upon us enabling us to serve him in the church and witness to him in the world.
